My Story

Tough Journeys

As I enter the final weeks of my training, I have been thinking what a tough journey this has been, the early mornings, the injuries, the hours of running. The thing is, though, that this event is optional, I chose to do this. I am lucky enough to have the time and the resources to enter a race like this and train and show up. This isn't a tough journey at all, it's a privilege. Recently I've become acutely aware of the tough journeys that mothers face across London at their time of greatest need.

Little Village

I have decided to support the amazing work of Little Village. You may not know them, but they help young mothers and their babies when they find themselves with nothing; not even the basics we might take for granted, like nappies, wipes, toiletries or shoes. Teams of volunteers assemble packages of donations and pre-loved items for families in need.
